Welcome to the Fairwai blog
What we're writing about, who it's for, and why it matters for the way modern golf courses are run.
Running a golf course has always been a mix of craft and chaos. You’re part operator, part marketer, part host, part accountant — usually all at once, and usually with fewer staff than last season.
Fairwai exists because we think software can take more of that load than it currently does. Not by adding another dashboard to your login pile, but by doing actual work: answering calls, replying to reviews, drafting campaigns, pulling reports.
What this blog is for
This is where we share what we’re learning as we build that software and work with the courses using it.
You’ll find three kinds of posts here:
- Operations — practical things we’ve seen work (and fail) at real courses: staffing rhythms, how to triage the phone during a rush, the difference between a tee sheet that makes money and one that doesn’t.
- Marketing — the stuff courses keep meaning to do and never get to. Reviews, seasonal campaigns, email, SMS, local SEO.
- AI in golf — this one we’ll be opinionated about. AI is changing what a small course team can do, and most of the discourse online isn’t useful to an operator. We’ll try to fix that.
Who this is for
The owner, the GM, the head pro who ended up running everything because they were the only one still there on a Tuesday. If you’ve ever wished your booking system would just do more of the work, we wrote this for you.
What’s next
New posts roughly every other week. If there’s something you want us to cover, the quickest way is hello@fairwai.co.
